I’m Amanda Calta, the owner of Reloved Home Designs. I’m a wife and mom of four fabulous children. I chose to stay at home to raise my children about 20 years ago. I’ve watched my kids grow and begin to find their passions. As I watched them light up with the things they loved, I began to wonder what mine is.
I’ve always loved being creative and reinventing old things. As I furnished my home and repurposed once discarded furniture pieces, I began to notice the reactions of my friends and family. It wasn’t just me who loved them. Other people were noticing what I was doing. It was then that realized I had a talent for putting a twist on an old piece. Every piece challenges me to see what it should be. Every piece is unique. I’m never doing the same thing twice.
I’ve refurbished all different styles of vintage furniture. My current favorite is french provincial. My specialty is layering paint and embellishing details. I feel that the french provincial style is the best vehicle for my style. I also love reupholstering furniture. My style in my pieces is mixing and matching different fabrics to come up with one cohesive piece.
